Meet Shalom
A life between the market stalls.
Shalom Peretz grew up in the markets: from age 9 he worked beside his uncle in Tzfat, Hatzor and Kiryat Shmona. At 18 he was selling watermelons off a Peugeot pickup, and through his twenties he drove the neighborhoods with a truck full of watermelons, melons, grapes and cherries. To this day he loves the produce itself: arranging it, polishing it, choosing every fruit by hand. And the thing that matters most to him is that every customer leaves happy.
